I have analog synths with high level output and other have lower output levels. I don't see any sense to have no gain on the input module, to get a decent level in the DAW. But for what are the buttons on the input module?

Arturia gets it! ❤ the ADAT IO for synth heads is a thing.

I like that they added WordClock inputs, so one doesn't have to sync the audio interface to the ADAT but the other way around. Which is what I would recommend to everyone with a good interface, btw.

Is there a digital vsti of these things for FLStudio. Drumaxx doesnt seem to have the sound these things have.

The pricing is ok, but for ADAT expansion Audient's SP8 is much better value. 8 line outs, 8 line or mic inputs with decent preamps, auto gain, and proper metering of levels for way less than the price of these two units.

Interesting! Wonder how these would stand up against 16i/o units like the ferrofish pulse, which are considerably cheaper...

Thanks arturia! That's all I wanted for years now. A bunch of converters with no shenanigans, with good prizing, to get more synth into the daw. That is amazing!

Could you please explain to me why you would choose to use the Focusrite over the Audiofuse 16rig? I have a Focusrite 18i8 and I was told by my Sweetwater sales engineer that I would be better off with the Audiofuse 16rig because my studio has several synths. (Obviously, your studio is synth heavy as well). Are you choosing the 18i8 because there are more preamps? I'm confused when it comes to interfaces, mixers, routing, etc. Doing my best to learn, thank you for any info you could share.

I have a Behringer ULTRAGAIN DIGITAL ADA8200, cheaper but does the same job. I use it with a Scarlett 18i8 in a similar manner to give me 8 additional inputs.

Had Arturia come out with these (and the AudioFuse 16Rig) earlier, I might actually have seriously considered them. Instead I went with a MOTU 24Ai, and recently acquired another one (still on its way). For one thing, you get an IEC C14 plug, and you get 48 inputs in 2U. The special DB25-to-TRS snakes are a pain, though, and rather pricey.

These seem like well thought out converters and a great way to get even more synths all connected at once.

Oh and not forgetting proper use of the portamento slider.

The behringer odyssey does it to perfection.its all about how you operate both vcos lfo/sample and hold sliders.that combined with plenty of reverb and delay with a touch of flanger.

A lot of the vintage synths I own have been cloned, I wondered why nobody did the Jupiter-6 until now, since it's one of my favourite polysynths. I have a JP-6 (which I would never sell - unless someone offered me 10x market value for it), but would love this inside the DAW too. Great to see a fellow logic user, I'd like to see how it works in bi-timbral mode with the arpeggio, clock sync, etc.

Using a Polyend play as a sample player and midi controller (Erica synths Bassline, Roland MC-707) as the centerpiece to a dawless rig. Midi clock and sync to Aeros Loop Studio for guitar loops. All this goes to a Tascam mixer. It’s a great setup, almost too many options, but the workflow is great and quite fluid.

I can buy 3rd Wave desktop + Rise 2 for Wave Keys money. I think that’s my pick! I presume, all things appearing to to be equal, that desktop will get all the goodness that is the Prophet VS waves update AND the new Sampling/sample editing update, announced at Superbooth 24 ? Now, if they will announced their new Granular Engine in time for Christmas, this synth will be the best value of the decade!

I still think his best solo was in Astradyne by ultravox. It just made you want to clench your legs together. In fact, I just listened to it again and after all these years , it still does it. Awesome....those portamento sweeps.
